What players see
Public creature profiles show the safe portion of origin and milestone history. Sensitive investigation data remains visible only to the relevant Keeper or story system.
Illicit history
A Belowmarket creature may arrive with incomplete papers, hidden stress, or a prior claim. Investigation can expose, clear, or complicate that record instead of merely applying an “evil” tag.
Why it is permanent
Persistence makes rescue meaningful, limits laundering through trade, and lets old creatures become genuinely historic without granting them unbeatable stats.
