Species description
Sporewing are large nocturnal gliding fenborn with velvet wing membranes that collect fungal spores as they brush against fruiting bodies. Specialized facial combs clean the membranes and redistribute spores along habitual routes.
Field note
Several deep-forest fungi reproduce far less successfully where Sporewing colonies disappear. Their delicate wing membranes make them poorly suited to cage transport, yet they remain common in illegal exotic markets.
