Edda Vane is Vane almost everywhere except a formal hearing. She runs sanctioned practice at Accord Hall and has little interest in making combat sound nobler, cleaner, or safer than it actually is.
Before the hall
Vane worked rehabilitation intake for retired arena creatures. She moved into Accord enforcement after seeing private yards erase injuries by erasing paperwork. Her clipboard is usually more worn than her coat.
How she runs a bout
She is formal when confirming terms and unexpectedly candid once a match ends. A creature that needs a clinic goes to a clinic; a Keeper who forfeits gets a forfeit on the record; a clean win does not become evidence that somebody was invincible.
The copied fighters
Vane has been comparing legal match logs against reports of a backring using copied creature identities. She does not discuss the investigation publicly, but she has started asking unusually specific provenance questions before some practices.
