Brinewake’s public forecasting and route-instrument office.
The Station keeps its instruments behind thick panes built to survive salt and blown grit. Forecast cards are stamped with revision times rather than quietly replaced.
Forecasting
Clerks record misses as carefully as successes. Crews respect the office partly because it is willing to preserve evidence that yesterday’s forecast was wrong.
Two checks
Experienced crews read the Station and then read the horizon. Public instrumentation and local judgment are treated as different evidence, not rivals.
